It’s a rare occurrence, like Halley’s Comet: Tonight’s performance of “Seminar” has been cancelled because the show’s star, Alan Rickman, has an acute respiratory infection. According to a press statement, this is the first time Rickman had to cancel a performance in his career. I’m almost honored to have been slated to be there, then! (Under regular circumstances an understudy would go on, but tonight was a press preview.)

Rickman is supposed to be back tomorrow.
