Ben Folds may have just completed his final rock album.
In a recent interview with Forbes, the 55-year-old singer-songwriter shared that his 2023 record “What Matters Most” may be his last offering before he pivots to writing musicals and other types of songs.
Thankfully, you can still catch the man who brought the world “Brick,” “Rockin’ The Suburbs,” “B—-es Ain’t S—,” “The Luckiest” and “You Don’t Know Me” live this year.
Folds is taking his ‘What Matters Most Tour’ with special guest Tall Heights all over the U.S. up until Oct. 18.
That includes gigs at Troy, NY’s Troy Savings Music Hall on Sept. 30, New Brunswick, NJ’s State Theatre on Oct. 1 and Huntington, NY’s Paramount Theatre on Oct. 2.
Some tickets are fairly cheap for the tour too.
At the time of publication, we found prices as low as $27 before fees on Vivid Seats.
For most shows, tickets start in the $40 to $100 range.

Ben Folds new music
Folds’ fifth studio album “What Matters Most” dropped on June 2, 2023.
Comprised of ten tracks, Folds employs his trademark cheeky lyrics, hauntingly gorgeous piano and powerful vocals to deliver yet another essential entry into his canon.
We’re particularly fond of the poppy “Exhausting Lover,” the sweetly melancholy “Fragile,” and the slow build of “Paddleboat Breakup.”
