This coming March, Dropkick Murphys are doing everything they can to make sure St. Patrick’s Day lasts the entire month.

And you won’t even have to “Ship Up To Boston.”

The legendary punk group is taking their “Full Electric St. Patrick’s Day Tour” to venues all over North America from March 1 through 19.

On the quick 15-concert jaunt, they’ll bring green holiday cheer to huge cities like Charlotte (March 1), Atlanta (March 6), Indianapolis (March 8), Louisville (March 10), and, well, of course, Boston for four concerts on March 16, March 17, March 18 and March 19 to close the tour.

OK, truth be told, shipping up to Boston wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if you want to see Dropkicks Murphys close their brief run of gigs in a blaze of glory.

It should also be noted that these 15 shows will be your typical meat and potatoes and energetic Celtic punk shows, unlike their unique 2022 tour.

From October through November, the band surprised fans by embarking on an ambitious acoustic tour promoting their latest Woody Guthrie-inspired, folk-punk album “This Machine Still Kills Fascists.”

Each and every show on the “Full Electric St. Patrick’s Day Tour” will be a full-on party.

Before Ken Casey and the rest of the sextet take the stage, though, Dropkick Murphys have a stellar lineup of support acts planned to get audiences riled up for the wild time they have ahead.

At all shows, Dropkick Murphys be joined by folk-punk band The Rumjacks (appropriately known for their hit “An Irish Pub Song”) and Quincy-based rockabilly singer Jesse Ahern.

They’ll amp things up even further on March 16-18 when The Turnpike Troubadours get in on the action and play with the group at Boston’s MGM Music Hall.

Get your fiddles ready — these are going to be hoedowns you won’t want to miss.

Singer-songwriter Nikki Lane will also serve as an additional support act on March 16, along with all the openers as mentioned above.

Even though the Dropkick Murphys have been active since 1996, the band hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down in their 26 years of existence.

In 2021, they released “Turn Up That Dial,” an upbeat album full of anthems in the vein of their earlier output and this year, they went in a different direction with the acoustic country “This Machine Still Kills Fascists” composed of unused Woody Guthrie lyrics.

Although the band dabbled in a new genre and performed lyrics written by another artist, the sound and spirit are still unmistakably Dropkick Murphys-esque.

Critics loved it too.
