Before the 2022-23 NBA season began, Knicks starting point guard Jalen Brunson predicted the squad would make the playoffs.

Seven months later, he has proven himself prophetic.

After the regular season comes to an end on April 9, Tom Thibodeau’s fifth-seeded New York Knicks will face off against J.B. Bickerstaff’s fourth-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

And if you want tickets to cheer for the Brunson as well as stars RJ Barrett, Josh Hart, Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes and (fingers crossed) the injured Julius Randle take on Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs at New York’s Madison Square Garden, you can still snag last-minute seats.

That being said, there are no truly cheap tickets on the market.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we found was $242 before fees on Vivid Seats.

However, when every second counts, it’s hard to put a value on rooting for the Knicks at the Garden in the playoffs.

About the Knicks-Cavs matchup

There are quite a few notable narratives to keep an eye on in this first-round matchup.

The NY Post’s Peter Botte believed the biggest storyline here is New York native Donovan Mitchell matching up with his hometown Knicks.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Mitchell said.
