Jon Stewart stand up review

In September 2023, the New York Post caught Stewart at an Atlantic City show with Pete Davidson and John Mulaney in the midst of the writer’s strike.

The elder statesman of the trio served as the evening’s closer.

Over the course of the evening, he tackled aging (one joke about searching for his eyeglasses netted the night’s biggest laugh) and interfaith marriage (his expression impersonating childlike wonder witnessing the magic of Christmas was priceless) among a number of other topics near and dear to his heart.

He wrapped the night with political material covering trans issues, gay marriage, Kanye West’s inexplicable anti-Semitism, gun rights and 9/11 with a deft touch that showed he hasn’t lost a step comedically and is as sharp as ever.

Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show”

Thus far, the daring Stewart has hosted two episodes of “TDS” this year.

In the first, he disparaged both front-runner Presidential candidates in an extended commentary.

After receiving backlash for making fun of both sides, Stewart remarked, “It was one f—in’ show!”

You can find all episodes here.

According to Variety, “He is expected to play an oversight role at ‘The Daily Show’ that could extend through 2025.”
