Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” duet partner has had quite a busy 2024.

In addition to singing with Chapman at the Grammys, Luke Combs released a new album in June and is currently midway through his nationwide ‘Growin’ Up And Gettin’ Old Tour.’

The unconventional trek, which will see him perform back-to-back shows at stadiums all over the country, includes a pair of gigs at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20.

“I wanted each show to have (its) own unique set up of openers, as well as my own unique setlist,” Combs shared in a statement after announcing the tour in August 2023.

“I thought this would give people an opportunity to come to both nights if they want, but see two completely different shows.”

On Friday nights, special guests like The Avett BrothersCody JinksCharles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and The Wilder Blue will join him.

Jordan DavisMitchell TenpennyDrew Parker and Colby Acuff are his rotating Saturday night opening acts.

“…I wanted to open up my stage to acts that lean into Outlaw, Americana and Red Dirt on Friday nights, (and have) a night with (performers) who are more contemporary country (on Saturdays),” he added.

As of now, tickets are available for all remaining ‘Growin’ Up And Gettin’ Old’ concerts.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on any single-day tickets was $47 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Two-day passes start at $100 before fees.

Luke Combs 2024 festival appearances

Combs isn’t just touring and recording new music this year.

He’s somehow also found the time to headline at a handful of music festivals (and even curate the Bootleggers Bonfire to boot) these next few months. To make sure you’re in the loop, here are all the details you need about each upcoming Combs fest:

Luke Combs set list

As you may have noticed above, Combs is playing two shows in every city he’s visiting on tour.

To see what he performs on night one of the tour versus night two, check out the 34-year-old’s Set List FM for a closer look.

Luke Combs new music

On June 14, Combs dropped his fifth album “Fathers & Sons.”

The weepy 12-track record is a sentimental ode to father-son relationships filled with emotional songs like the sticky sweet “Front Door Famous” and ominous “In Case I Ain’t Around.”

For our money, the standout is when Combs gets heavy on the plaintive “All I Ever Do Is Leave,” a simple yet effective ode to the toll his life as a touring artist takes on him.

That being said, don’t expect any major surprises here; just solid, thoughtful country singalongs that may make you tear up, whether you’re a father, son, mother or daughter.

If you want a good cry, you can listen to Combs’ “Fathers & Sons” in its entirety here.

Luke Combs special guests

At all shows, fans will be treated to a special guest or three.

For those who aren’t familiar with all of them — there are quite a few — here’s each of Combs’ opening act artist’s most streamed track on Spotify:
