She’s back.

On Saturday, March 1, Tate McRae will serve as the musical guest on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” for the second time alongside host Shane Gillis.

Her forthcoming Studio 8H gig comes on the heels of a big week for the 21-year-old pop star. Over the past few days, she released her third studio album “So Close To What” and extended her worldwide ‘Miss Possessive Tour,’ which now includes three headlining shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The three concerts at the Knicks and Rangers’ home are set to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3, Thursday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 18. Zara Larsson is joining her for the first two dates; Alessi Rose will handle opening duties for the final show.

“This is INSANE,” the “Greedy” singer shared on Instagram after announcing the tour extension. “I can’t want to see you guys I am so beyond excited.”

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Tate McRae shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the newly announced ‘Miss Possessive Tour’ dates is Thursday, Feb. 27.

Tate McRae new music

On Feb. 21, McRae dropped her third studio album “So Close To What.”

In 42 minutes, the Calgary native invites listeners to the dance floor and never lets up. She kicks things off with the uptempo “Miss possessive,” which has breakbeats built in for prime bust-a-move moments at live shows.

From there, the horn-heavy bop “2 hands” gets your toes tapping, hips shaking and head banging. Prepare to sing along to the refrain “I want your two hands / Don’t ever let me go” while wilding out.

The intoxicating “Revolving Doors” finds its register a minute in and refuses to slow down from there. In an album full of standouts, this is one we kept coming back to.

Other favorites of ours including the playful “Sports Car,” soaring anthem “Signs” and thumping club-ready banger “It’s ok I’m ok.”

Make sure to stick around until the end, too. The pitter-patter of “Means I Care” is worth a listen or three. Think measured schoolyard double dutch stomps refined in the studio and spruced up with McRae’s breathy vibrato. It’s a lo-fi pop classic in the making.

To hear for yourself, you can listen to “So Close To What” (including the sharp bonus track “Siren sounds”) in full here.

Tate McRae special guests

At all shows, McRae will either be joined by Zara Larsson, Alessi Rose or Benee (who joins her in Europe). To make sure you’re familiar with their work, our team tracked down their most streamed songs on Spotify below. Enjoy.
