The title character of Jordan Roberts’ raunchy, sporadically funny comedy returns from self-exile when his older brother, Bruce (Chris O’Dowd), who recorded an incredibly humiliating video of his abortive wedding, comes out of rehab.

Big Mistake. Bruce almost immediately shoots a new video of Frankie (Charlie Hunnam) failing to sexually satisfy his new girlfriend, Lassie (Lizzy Caplan) that becomes an even bigger and more embarrassing Web sensation.

A sub-Apatovian farce that tries way too hard, the terribly titled “3, 2, 1 . . . Frankie Goes Boom’’ does offer the unforgettable sight of Ron Perlman as a post-op transsexual.
