Christopher Titus bases his Fox sitcom, “Titus,” on his dysfunctional family – a much-married, alcoholic father (played by Stacy Keach) and a mentally ill mother. But with “Titus” having just been renewed for a second full season, the actor has plenty to smile about. He’ll be in town this week, performing his stand-up act at Caroline’s comedy club on Wednesday and Thursday.

Is there a book or movie that changed your life?

When I saw “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest” with my mentally ill mom and having her cry at the happy parts and laugh at the horrific ones.

What was the worst day of your life?

Go back 15 years, and any day before that, throw a dart!

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

Selling Amway or retail from the trunk of a car.
