Who are your heroes?

My heroes are my father, Chris Cain, and my son Christopher. My dad, because he taught me how to be a good man, and my son because he inspires me to be a better man.

Is there a book or movie that has changed your life

“A Separate Peace” by John Knowles. It inspired me to want to become a serious student-athlete which led to my attending Princeton University.

If your house was on fire what would you save?

Material things are not really important to me, so if no one needed to be saved from the fire I guess I’d grab as many pictures as I could. My house is full of pictures of my family and friends.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

I became an actor truly by accident. I started my career in Hollywood as a writer. . . so if I wasn’t acting I would still be first and foremost a writer.
