Who are your heroes and why?
My mom because I’ve never met a person who would give up everything to make someone else’s dream – my dream – come true. I hope that I can emulate her virtues of patience, persistence and love.
Is there a book or movie that changed your life?
“The Little Flower” by Mary Fabyon Windeatt. I was younger when I read it. I have a strong devotion to St. Theresa of Lisuiex and the stories in the book really touched me and gave me a new outlook on life.
What was your worst day ever?
I was 13 years old and at my very first World Championships. I was so scared and nervous that I fell all over the place during my short program. I barely survived the cut for the next round, placing 23rd. I was devastated but the next day I skated really well and pulled up eight places.
What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?
I’d be an actress. I love acting and portraying different characters. Or I might be a hip-hop dancer.
