A feature film about Sept. 11 may be in theaters in time for the one-year anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.

Filming has just wrapped on “The Guys,” starring Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia.

“The Guys” is based on a one-act play – currently running at the Flea Theatre in lower Manhattan – written by Columbia journalism professor Anne Nelson.

The drama recounts her experiences trying to help a fire captain write eulogies for eight men he lost in the towers’ collapse.

Weaver plays Nelson and LaPaglia plays the firefighter in the film.
