It’s been called “the food of the gods,” and some of the best on earth can be sampled at this weekend’s Chocolate Show.

The salute is in its final two days at Chelsea’s Metropolitan Pavilion, where some 60 brands are spotlighted, including local ones Payard and Jacques Torres.

Today’s events include a chocolate tasting and a demo by chef Pascal Condomine of D’Artagnan. Tomorrow, Gramercy Tavern’s Michelle Antonishek will share the secrets of her confections.

Outrageous chocolate couture – the result of such fashion designers as Nicole Miller working with chocolatiers and pastry chefs – will be on display, along with chocolate sculptures and an exhibit called “From Bean to Bar.”

$8-$20. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 W. 18th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues; (866) CHOC-NYC, http://www.chocolateshow.com.
