PROLIFIC producer Scott Rudin has taken on the job ofturning Dave Eggers’ best-selling memoir, “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius,” into a film.
New Line Cinema, which bought the film rights to the book for $2 million just over a year ago, hopes to put the project into production next year, Variety reports.
Eggers’ memoir tells of being left alone to raise his younger brother after his parents died within months of each other.
