ABC is going to court with law shows next fall.

The network, which will formally announce its new schedule today, is expected to renew “Boston Legal” and zany attorney show “Eli Stone.”

ABC is also expected to pick up “Life on Mars,” a cop drama from David E. Kelley about a policeman who goes back in time and gets stuck in the 1970s.

Gone from the schedule is the dismal “October Road,” a show that was created and produced by an advertising firm as a vehicle for product placement.
