Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges has signed a deal to record a solo album for release later this summer, EMI’s Blue Note Records announced Tuesday.

Bridges will work with Grammy Award-winning songwriter T-Bone Burnett on the yet untitled record.

The album will include a collection of Bridges’ original songs, as well as his versions of classics from other songwriters.

The 61-year-old, famous for his portrayal of “the Dude” in “The Big Lebowski,” won the Oscar for Best Actor in the 2009 film “Crazy Heart.” He also contributed to the country music drama’s soundtrack.
