LATE NIGHT OWLS, theatergoers or exhausted shoppers can head to the new restaurant BarBao, which moved into the popular Rain space, and has just launched a new late night economy special: the $11 after 11 p.m. menu, with 12 items for $11 or less every Monday through Saturday night between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

The menu includes short ribs on lemongrass skewers with Hoisin peanut sauce, crispy sweetbreads, chili garlic tiger shrimp, sizzling cuttlefish, pho noodles with rare beef, sweet bread and anise ginger beef broth and vermicelli noodles with hanger steak or Berkshire belly, shrimp or vegetables.
