TOM Hanks, who’s already tackled World War II and John Adams for HBO, is set to take on the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Hanks will turn former L.A. DA Vincent Bugliosi’s controversial book, “Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy,” into a 10-part miniseries, according to reports.

The book – which took 10 years to write and runs more than 1,600 pages – is the longest and most comprehensive piece of research to argue that Lee Harvey Oswald alone killed JFK and was not part of any wider conspiracy.

The miniseries will be produced under Hanks’ production company, Playtone.

HBO will also produce a companion special to the Hanks miniseries in which Bugliosi addresses “myriad conspiracy theories” in the assassination involving the Mafia, KGB and Fidel Castro, Variety reports.

Playtone is about to complete a seven-part miniseries on John Adams for HBO and is also executive-producing a 10-part miniseries on WWII for the cable network.
