The end of the rainbow?

THEATER – Mon, 26

The Rainbow Room, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 65th floor; mtc-nyc.org/events _winter_benefit.asp

As sad as the crumbling Cipriani family fortune is, we should count our blessings that the Rainbow Room is still open for special events like “An Intimate Night.” The evening begins with a 7 p.m. cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 8 and a show at 9:15, where the highlight will include a performance from Cheyenne Jackson (right, of “Xanadu”). Profits from the pricey tickets, which start at $1,500, go toward the Manhattan Theater Club’s charitable programs.

A howwwwlin’ good time!

MUSIC – Mon, 26

Black Betty, 366 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn; 718-599-0243, blackbetty.net

You know how this year you promised to “get in touch with your spiritual side”? Well, sometimes the lord worketh in the most mysterious ways. Evidence: The Rev. Vince Anderson will be preaching, beseeching and quite possibly speaking in tongues as he and his band “Love Choir” tell it like is. Anderson studied to be a Methodist minister at Union Theological Seminary in the early ’90s, but dropped out after one semester to pursue music full time, trading the pulpit for the local barstool. Although he’s now ordained, Anderson still prefers to let his music do his preaching, as songs such as “Get Out of My Way” clearly reflect. Admission is free, doors open at 10:30 p.m. and the “Amens” begin whenever you’re so inspired.

Here, piggy-piggy . . .

FOOD – Sun, 25

The Maritime Hotel: Hiro Ballroom; 363 W.16th St.; 404-849-3569, amusecochon.com

It’s a little tough to bring home the bacon these days, so why not go out and eat it? Today from 4 to 8 p.m., five top NYC chefs will pig out by preparing a heritage breed hog from head to toe. Each 70-pound pig can be precooked, braised, grilled, pressed, pickled, rubbed, smoked, seared, sauced, spiced, injected, marinated or cured for this friendly competition. Guests and professional judges will then crown one chef “Prince of Pork” based on creativity, classic preparation and overall best flavor. In addition to hogs, five selected family wineries will showcase their tasty wines. RSVP is required, and tickets are $125 per person.
