Alan Cumming wants Donald Trump to compete on “The Traitors.”

The host of the Peacock series publicly made the offer after “The Traitors” won Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the 2025 Emmy Awards Sunday.

“Well, I’m sure our president would be very good on the show,” Cumming, 60, told reporters at LA’s Peacock Theater.

“I’m sure he’d have a little chaos and turmoil and treachery, so maybe he’d like to come on and be paid for that, probably better than he gets as president,” the actor added of Trump, 79.

Cumming, who has been outwardly critical of Trump, previously said that the idea of the president or even someone from Trump’s world joining the show was “not appetizing” to him.

“I think that is too soon — far too soon,” Cumming told Vanity Fair in January. “Also, there’s people you think, ‘You’re still too toxic. You’re a toxic influence.’ There are baddies, like Tom [Sandoval] came with his baggage, but it’s on a different level of toxicity.”

Trump previously hosted 14 seasons of “The Apprentice” and “The Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC. Arnold Schwarzenegger took over for Trump in 2015 as he ran for president.

“The Traitors,” which premiered in 2023, follows a group of contestants playing a murder mystery game in a Scottish castle for $250,000. The cast features celebrities and reality stars from shows like “Survivor,” “Real Housewives,” “Big Brother,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Love Island” and “The Bachelor.”

Season 4, which already wrapped filming and debuts in 2026, will feature Donna Kelce, comedians Michael Rapaport and Ron Funches, “Drag Race” star Monet X Change, “Survivor” winners Natalie Anderson and Yam Yam Arocho, Olympic figure skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, and more.

The series won all five Emmys it was nominated for this year, including Best Reality Competition host for Cumming and Best Reality Competition program, both for the second year in a row.

“It’s a difficult time we live in, but it’s so great that our show brings a little bit of joy into this life,” Cumming said as he accepted the latter award onstage at Sunday’s ceremony.

“Thanks to everyone who watches the show, thanks to all the people who have ‘Traitors’ parties and dress up as me,” the “X-Men” actor added. “We see you, we love you.”

NBC has also announced an upcoming all-civilian version of the show with Cumming serving as host.

“The money will mean more to them,” Cumming said at the Televerse 2025 conference last month. “I’m pretty excited about it. I think it’s going to be a hoot.”
