THERE’S nothing like getting your own TV talk show – and a hosting spot at the pre-Oscars fashion special – to make you want to kick butt. Just ask Ananda Lewis.
“I’m going to fit into that Oscar dress,” vowed the 29-year-old, who as of press time had yet to find one. (She’s looking for “something red, fun but regal and classy and hot.”)
Lewis (her first name means “bliss” in Sanskrit) used to host BET’s “Teen Summit” and MTV’s “Hot Zone.”
“We all envy Shakira, Britney Spears and Destiny’s Child, who have really good bodies because they bust their butt every day,” she told The Post. “You have to have commitment, determination and be willing to put up with the pain. It’s going to take your blood, sweat and tears.”
Here’s how the 5-foot-8 bombshell stays fit.

MY WORKOUT
THE ROUTINE
“I just bought an elliptical [machine] at Sears two weeks ago. I do 40 minutes every morning, five days a week. I’m an infomercial junkie. I have the AB-DOer, which I bought at Target; I do 10 minutes as fast as I can. I also have the Body by Jake Bun and Thigh Rocker, which really works out my legs and butt. But I believe in having a big butt.”
MY MOTIVATION
“Good music will get you through. I’ve been rehashing the older stuff like Lauryn Hill, the old ‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’ album, the old ‘No Doubt’ album and Alanis. I scream about my ex-boyfriend, ‘I hate you’ – it takes your mind off the pain . . .
MY DIET
“I cut out carbohydrates. I still do fruits and glucose, but no bread, no pasta, no rice. I eat a lot of salad – it’s pathetic. I can’t complain about the cheese on my thighs and not do anything about it. Once I cut the wheat out, my emotions got more stable and now I’m much more consistent and I think more clearly. You are what you eat and that’s a fact.”
MY TIPS FOR OTHERS
“Don’t smoke. I smoked for seven years and it was one of the nastiest habits I ever had. Also, I’d rather spend $200 on an exercise machine that will make me look better in the outfits that I have instead of buying more and more clothes.
FAVORITE BODY PART
“My butt. Because I worked so hard on it and I’m starting to like it. I can’t knock the attention.”
LEAST FAVORITE PART
“My knees. They’re like my dad’s. Fat knees on a guy are fine, but on a girl, no. I don’t wear short skirts.”
MY SECRET WEAKNESS
“KFC. I got chicken and they gave me a biscuit and I was alone in the car and no one saw me. But I didn’t cheat. Because I’m doing it for myself, not for others.”
