FARRAH Fawcett beat out Michael Jackson’s tributes Thursday night.
The most watched news program amid the Jackson coverage was actually the “20/20” ABC special, “Farrah Fawcett: Her Life, Her Loves, Her Legacy.”
It became the highest-rated, most-watched news-show broadcast, with 8.2 million viewers tuning in to watch Barbara Walters’ interviews with Ryan O’Neal, Fawcett’s “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Jacyln Smith, and Fawcett’s doctor, according to The Hollywood Reporter
CBS News’ special on Jackson drew 7.6 million viewers, and ABC’s “20/20” special on “The Life and Death of Michael Jackson” got 5.7 million viewers.
