ANOTHER ‘APPRENTICE’ AT CNN
FIRED by Donald Trump, hired by . . . CNN.
Kwame Jackson, the runner-up from the first season of “The Apprentice,” has been offered a job as the host of a new CNN show about business that’s being touted as “an ‘Inside the Actor’s Studio‘ for CEOs,” according to Broadcasting and Cable.
“Inside” is a long-running show on Bravo that features A-list celebrites sitting down for a chat with long-winded host, James Lipton.
Jackson’s show is being considered for a once-a-week slot, likely on weekends, according to sources.
“Don’t they have enough apprentices working for that company already?” wondered CNN co-founder Reese Schoenfeld, who has been at odds with the network for years.
CNN staffers – many of whom are far more qualified – were horrified at the news yesterday. “It’s insane with a captial ‘I,’ ” said one.
CNN officials declined to comment, and Jackson did not return calls yesterday.
The former investment banker holds a Harvard MBA. His sole, high-profile television experience is his appearance on the Trump reality show.
