Howie Mandel has posted a casting call for contestants for his new game show based on the popular holiday party game “White Elephant.”

Notices appeared on reality-TV casting Web sites over the weekend, which usually means taping of the new show will begin shortly, apparently in LA.

NBC ordered seven episodes of the show from the producers of “Deal or No Deal.”

A contestant chooses a box from a warehouse full of unmarked packages containing prizes and decides to keep it or try for something bigger.
