EVEN babies aren’t immune to scandal on “Desperate Housewives.”

It seems Gabrielle and Carlos (Eva Longoria and Ricardo Antonio Chavira), will finally get a chance to adopt a baby. But like everything else that happens on the soap-opera parody, there might be some serious strings attached – they have to buy their bundle of joy.

According to production sources, the couple tracks down a pregnant stripper named Libby (Nichole Hiltz), who wants to give them her kid after she gives birth.

But their plans hit a snag in the April 2 episode, when Libby’s boyfriend shows up at the hospital.

The couple started their quest to find a child on last Sunday’s episode but ran into trouble when it turned out that an adoption agent was the mother of Gabrielle’s teenage ex-boyfriend/ lawnboy.
