DISNEY’S “High School Musical” juggernaut has fallen even further out of tune.

After two huge cable movies, and a third one slated to hit theaters this fall, the “HSM” reality show is bombing.

High School Musical: Get in the Picture” averaged just 2.9 million viewers Sunday, losing over a million viewers from the week before – compared to “HSM 2,” which was seen by 17 million viewers last summer.

“Picture” is a competition show featuring none of the film’s popular young stars.

Instead, wannabe “HSMers” ages 16 to 22 compete to appear in a music video that will be shown in theaters with the new film.

The first “High School Musical” premiered in 2006 and set cable records for viewership.
