‘BANDSTAND’ RETURNS

‘AMERICAN Bandstand” is returning after a 18-year hiatus – with a touch of “American Idol” thrown in.
Original “Bandstand” producer Dick Clark is teaming with “AI” creator Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment to bring back the show – and will begin searching for a host immediately.
The new “American Bandstand” is scheduled to debut in the summer of 2005 and will be co-produced by dick clark productions, 19 Entertainment and Mosaic Media Group. The original show ran from 1957 to 1987.
