NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mike Love of The Beach Boys says the group’s surviving original members have no plans for a reunion tour to mark their 50th anniversary.

In a statement released Tuesday by a spokesman in Nashville, Love said he was responding to growing speculation among fans and media.

He said Brian Wilson is occupied with new solo projects “on the horizon.” Wilson and Love were original members of the group.

The Beach Boys continue to tour with Love and others.
