NBC’s Beijing Olympics coverage is on pace to become the most-watched event in TV history.

Through yesterday, NBC had amassed 206 million viewers across its various networks – surpassing the 1994 games in Lillehammer (203.9 million).

NBC expects to pass the 1996 Atlanta games (209 million viewers).
