USUALLY during Fashion Week, the off-the-runway outfits are far more interesting than the getups models are strutting down the catwalk in.
But this season, we found more schlep than style. Perhaps it was the overcast skies that dulled people’s dress sense, but sometimes we couldn’t tell if we were in the Fashion Week tents or at a mall in Minnesota.
Amid a sea of humdrum H&M and Chanel devotees – who mindlessly wear their chosen label head-to-toe – the key to standing out from the crowd is to make an effort, dress without fear and have fun with your wardrobe.
