A cheerfully affectionate if fit fully amusing spoof of ’70s blaxpoitation movies, Scott Sanders’ “Black Dynamite” painstakingly nails the cheesy look, music and martial arts moves of the originals.

Michael Jai White is perfectly cast as the Afro-wearing, womanizing hero, who in the course of investigating his brother’s death stumbles on a plot to compromise black manhood (literally) with drugged malt liquor.

Black Dynamite’s quest takes him to Kung Fu Island and eventually to the White House for a confrontation with Richard and Pat Nixon. Though this is essentially a one-joke movie, it’s worth renting “Black Dynamite” when it comes out on DVD just to see the latter.

Running time: 90 minutes. Rated R (sex, nudity, profanity, drugs, violence).
