The “20/20” special that revealed the true story behind the hit movie — complete with interviews with the real-life inspirations for the movie and the actors who played them — was the most-watched hour on broadcast TV last Tuesday night.

Nearly 8 million people tuned in to the special, just shy of the number that watched the second half of CBS’ “Kennedy Center Honors.” —
