EVERYBODY Loves Raymond” co-star Peter Boyle, who suffered a minor heart attack on the set of the show last Monday morning, may not be back in time to shoot the season’s final two episodes next week.

Boyle, 65, plays Ray Romano’s father on the top-rated CBS sitcom (Mondays 9 p.m. WCBS/Ch.2).

“He’s absolutely coming back to the show,” said a spokeswoman for the show. “It’s just going to be a matter of how quickly he can come back.”

“He’s going to be fine,” she said.

“His doctors are very confident, so he may very well be back – we’ll see next week if he is feeling up to and what his doctor says,” she said.

Production for the season wraps-up April 20.

If Boyle is not able to return by then the show’s producers will rewrite the final two episodes around him.

Boyle who was still in the hospital yesterday recovering, missed at least one show that was shot Tuesday night.

The next episode of “Raymond” goes into production next Wednesday.

“We’re lucky he’s going to be fine and its not something more serious,” the spokeswoman said.

“Peter is such a strong, hearty guy that this is not going to get him down. He’ll be back as soon as his doctors give him the go ahead.”
