THE PBS kids show “Postcards from Buster” – which caused a stir this spring with an episode about a lesbian couple who were parents – had all its federal funding cut late last Friday.

A House appropriations committee voted not to give Ready to Learn, the educational TV program that funds “Buster,” any of the $23.3 million the White House had requested.
