Cablevision has signed a last-minute deal to carry Oprah Winfrey’s new cable network, OWN.

OWN will air on Cablevision’s Ch. 180 starting with its launch this Saturday, Jan. 1.

The cable sysytem, which serves much of suburban New York as well as the Bronx and part of Brooklyn, did not previously carry Discovery Health — the channel OWN is replacing. OWN will be sandwiched between Logo (Ch. 179) — which airs gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender programming — and ShopNBC (Ch. 181).
