Nirvana – or at least a piece of it – has a new owner.

After a frenzied online auction in which bids climbed to $40 million, the owners of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain’s childhood home decided to accept an offer of $210,000 for the property.

Ed and Jennifer McKee, who purchased the Montesano, Wash., house last month for $42,000, said they had no idea of the house’s history.

Their ad on eBay trumpeted the news, claiming, “Many areas of the house have not been changed since Kurt lived here.”
