CH. 7 RULES RATINGS
CH. 7 cleaned up in the local sweeps last month, winning nearly every major timeslot race.
The local ABC station finished first in sign-on to sign-off in total persons, and won the noon, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. news races – edging out Ch. 4 at 11 by a whisker.
Ch. 2 finished third at 11 p.m. – but was up 7 percent over February ’04 thanks, in part, to CBS’ strong prime-time schedule.
Ch. 5 won the important 10 p.m. news race by over two ratings points over second-place Ch. 11.
At 6:30 p.m., Univision’s Spanish-language newscast on Ch. 41 beat Dan Rather’s “CBS Evening News” in households and persons 18-34 and 18-49.
Ch. 7 was helped in the morning by “Live with Regis & Kelly” and “The Tony Danza Show” and in the afternoon by “Oprah” – which beat “Judge Judy” and “People’s Court” (4 p.m.) combined.
Ch. 4 finished second in the sign-on to sign-off race, followed by Ch. 2.
