CH. 7 reporter Celeste Ford quit yesterday after 15 years at the ABC-owned station.
Ford, who joined Ch. 7 in 1988 as a general assignment reporter, is the latest veteran to leave the station.
“I’m ready to do something new,” Ford told The Post yesterday. “Ch. 7 has been very good to me . . . I’m going to look at different options – all the different things I’ve wanted to do but never had the time to do,” she said. Ford’s contract expires at the end of this month but she’ll be leaving a few weeks before that due to accrued comp time and vacation time.
The married mother of three got her start in TV news as a researcher at Ch. 5 and as a producer at Ch. 11.
Her departure follows on the heels of several Ch. 7 veterans, including Cheryl Fiandaca, David Ushery and anchor Roz Abrams.
