COMEDY Central could have its next Dave Chappelle.

Demetri Martin’s new series, “Important Things with Demetri Martin,” premiered to 2.4 million viewers Wednesday – the network’s best premiere since “Chappelle’s Show” raked in 2.5 million viewers in 2005.

“Martin” finished first in all of TV – cable and broadcast – in men 18-24 and was tops in cable among men 18-34.

The next episode airs Wednesday (10:30 p.m.).
