COUNTRY creamed the competition this week on Billboard’s Top Albums chart as Kenny Chesney rode to the No. 1 spot and LeAnn Rimes grabbed No. 3.

Chesney’s latest, “Be As You Are: Songs From an Old Blue Chair,” marks the star’s third consecutive trip to the peak of the Top Albums and the Top Country Albums charts, selling 311,000 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

And, after a brief dalliance with pop, Rimes’ countrified “This Woman” sold 101,000 copies.

Chesney pushed The Game‘s big debut, “The Documentary,” to No. 2.

Conor Oberst‘s Bright Eyes got high grades for his two releases. His acoustic “I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning” made its debut at No. 10, while the electronic-tuned “Digital Ash in a Digital Urn” comes out of the gate at No. 15. Combined the two discs sold 102,000.
