Simon Cowell is joining forces with Will Smith to search the world over for the top DJ, in a new reality TV competition announced Wednesday.

Few details were provided about the format of the untitled show that will be produced jointly by Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment, the production company run by Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

They are partnering with Sony Pictures Television, which has not yet announced a broadcast partner.

“This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent,” Jada Pinkett Smith said in a statement about the project.

“We have been working on this show for over a year . . . DJs are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show,” Cowell, 52, added about his latest venture.

Cowell has created several reality music contests already, including “The X Factor.”
