ART will not be imitating life when the sixth season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” premieres Sept. 9 on HBO.

Larry David’s critically acclaimed comedy series about married life is not expected to mirror developments in his real-life marriage, which is on the rocks and possibly headed toward divorce.

In the show, the fictional “Larry” will still be married – at least comfortably, if not happily – to his fictional wife, “Cheryl David,” played by Cheryl Hines.

The new season of “Curb” – 10 episodes in all – was filmed in Los Angeles from last October to this past March.

David’s separation from real-life wife Laurie David – his wife of 14 years and mother of their two daughters – was first reported earlier this month.

There was no word if the upcoming sixth season would be the last one for “Curb,” or whether the series would continue to a seventh season that might reflect the turbulence in David’s off-camera married life.
