LOS ANGELES – The friends of legendary actor Carroll O’Connor gave him a standing ovation yesterday as his casket emerged from the church after a star-studded funeral mass.

“A standing ovation is the most thrilling thing you can ever hope to have in this business and he got it from everybody,” comic and longtime friend Jerry Stiller told The Post outside St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in West L.A.

“Sometimes you wish you got it during the show,” Stiller said.

All in the Family” creator Norman Lear, TV children Sally Struthers and Rob Reiner, Carl Reiner, Don Rickles, Martin Sheen and Larry Hagman attended.
