Ousted “Early Show” weatherman Dave Price is leaving CBS News altogether.

“Today is my last day at CBS News,” Price said yesterday. “I’ve had my dream job at ‘The Early Show’ for eight years and deeply appreciate the outpouring of affection from so many viewers and colleagues. While sorry to leave, I’m eager and very excited about the next phase of my career.”

CBS had said it would try to find different roles for Maggie Rodriguez, Harry Smith and Price after replacing them with Chris Wragge, Erica Hill and Marysol Castro.
