LOS ANGELES — Ricardo Chavira, who plays Eva Longoria’s husband Carlos Solis on the hit US show “Desperate Housewives,” was arrested on DUI charges early Tuesday in Los Angeles, TMZ reported.

Chavira, 39, was pulled over during a routine traffic stop at around 2:00am local time, and police allegedly smelled alcohol on his breath.

Sources told the entertainment website that the actor refused to take breath or blood tests.

Chavira was then arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to a nearby jail. He is currently being held on $25,000 bail, according to the report.
