THE heirs of Anne Frank won’t sue ABC for its miniseries after all. The Anne Frank-Fonds, a foundation which represents Frank’s estate, had threatened legal action against ABC for “Ann Franke – The Whole Story.”

The AFF claimed ABC’s production bore too close a resemblance to the movie “The Diary of Anne Frank.” But the AFF said yesterday it will “desist from legal action” – although the miniseries still “falls short of doing full justice to Anne Frank’s own words, the very essence of her famous diary.”
