DIFFERENT STROKE
YANKEES star Bernie Williams let his guitar, and not his bat, do the talking yesterday when he visited “Live! with Regis and Kelly.”
Williams, making his first musical performance on a talk show, performed two original songs from his new album, “Journey Within” on Grp Records, which was released last July.
The Yankee switch hitter played “Stranded on the Bridge” and “Para Don Berna” – which was written in memory of his father.
Meanwhile, William’s brother Hiram joined Bernie on the cello.
“Have you always been tortured in deciding whether to play baseball or the guitar,” Regis Philbin asked the talented Yankee.
“Actually, it was a nice problem to have,” Williams said.
“I’ve got to give a lot of credit to my parents and to my brother right here.”
