TomTom, the portable GPS device for cars, is making the voice of Homer Simpson available on its navigator as a download.

Homer gives directions and says things like: “Woohoo! You have reached your destination and you can hold your head up high because you are a genius.”

The father of the Simpson clan costs $12.95 and is only the latest in a series of TV-themed “voice skins” TomTom is selling.

The voice of Kitt, the car from the original “Knight Ryder” that also talked aloud to its driver, had been a big hit. Other celeb voices include former “Monty Python” star John Cleese, Burt Reynolds and, for some reason, pitcher Curt Schilling.
