‘Miami’ trauma

The Alpha Team is a group of expert surgeons who work at a top trauma facility in the new CBS drama “Miami Medical.” The series stars Jeremy Northam, who hasn’t made many forays into American television aside from his role in a weird TV-movie about the strange relationship between Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis (Northam played Martin) and his well-received role as the ill-fated Thomas More in “The Tudors.” On “Miami Medical,” Northam plays Dr. Matthew Proctor, Gulf War veteran. The other doctors on the show, a mix of workaholics, playboys and newbies, will remind you of the casts of any medical drama you’ve ever seen. The guest-star is Andre Braugher, from “Men of a Certain Age,” as Dr. William Rayner, the head of Alpha Team.
