DON’T MISS LIST
Pink-stained Wretch
MTV returns to its musical roots – sort of. “Legally Blonde,” the hit Broadway musical, is getting the Saturday matinee treatment. The show – about a sorority princess who gets serious when he boyfriend dumps her and follows him to Harvard Law – is all about the dancing. And the script is by Heather Hach, who wrote the movie “Freaky Friday.” It’s rare to see a full Broadway show on TV while it’s still running on the Great White Way. But the producers think it’ll be a two-hour advertisement for the show that will sell tickets for a long time to come.

Tango seemed serious when he asked New York to marry him in the final episode last year – but then he took it back at the reunion (the cad!). Tiffany is going to give primetime romance another try. Who’s got it better than us?

Columbus Circle
Ciao, Columbus Day. The important thing about old Chris is not that he discovered America. He didn’t. Plenty of Europeans were here before him. What makes him huge? He got back. And he talked about the wonders of the New World in such lush and tantalizing tones that it started a parade of explorers sailing our way.

Jon Bon Jovi hosts the second “Saturday Night Live” of the new season. That’s right, hosts – not musical guest. First time. And don’t kid yourself, the guy can do comedy. He’s created characters for “Ally McBeal,” “Sex & the City” and “West Wing,” which, if you recall, was a comedy there at the end.
